In 1271, Marco Polo described ancient lapis mines and ever since it has been treasured by civilisations such as Egypt, China, Greece and Rome. The exquisite deep blue colour also has some added flare with flecks of pyrite which create a golden sparkle in lapis lazuli.
The Piaget protocol has been known for its sharp look mixed with stone dials and precious metals. This example is made from 18ct white gold, with a clean lapis dial, original 18ct buckle and strap still intact.
